Ear Research Foundation Announces New Board Members

Ear Research Foundation announced two new members to its board of directors.  President and Founder Dr. Herbert Silverstein, the current directors, and staff are pleased to welcome Eric Hoonhout and Kevin Coscia to the board.

The Ear Research Foundation’s mission is dedicated to research, education, and community care for hearing and balance disorders.  The Foundation seeks, encourages, and provides healthy solutions and treatments for hearing and balance issues.

Eric Hoonhout, Esq. of Hoonhout Law, operates his own client-centered practice counselling and advocating in elder law and estate planning, as well as in real estate and business law.  Eric graduated with a B.A. in History and Religion at Augsburg College and earned his JD from Florida State University College of Law, cum laude.  Eric is active in the Sarasota community and serves on two other boards including First Step of Sarasota, Inc. and as board president for Sertoma Kids, Inc.

Kevin Coscia, Esq. is Managing Director of Largo Capital’s Florida mortgage banking platform out of its Sarasota office.  At Largo, he is responsible for commercial real estate debt and equity placements throughout the U.S. and Canada.  A recent transplant to Sarasota, Kevin previously lived and worked in Miami and New York City.  Kevin earned his B.S. in Finance from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University along with a JD/MBA from University of Miami.  Kevin is an active member of the New York and Florida Bar Associations and serves as treasurer of Sertoma Kids, Inc.

Both Eric and Kevin will take an active role alongside nine other current board members.
