On Monday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 p.m., tickets will go on sale for the Grand Tasting of 2018 Forks & Corks Food & Wine Festival (Jan. 26-28, 2018), presented by the Sarasota-Manatee Originals. Tickets will also be available for the festival’s Forks & Corks University, a series of fun and educational seminars led by wine experts from around the world. Roskamp Institute hosts Open House honoring Veterans and Military

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will showcase Institute research and clinical programs of particular relevance to veterans and military personnel, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Gulf War Illness (GWI) and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  Following the presentations will be tours of the Institute laboratories and a luncheon with the faculty. The Open House is a free event open to the public.

Registration Now Open for ALSO Youth 8th Annual Turkey Trot
1,800 runners and walkers are expected to participate. On Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017, the race begins and ends at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota (1000 Boulevard of the Arts) with a post-race party in the Hyatt parking lot. Start time is 7:30 a.m., and participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome. Proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit ALSO Youth. Doctors Hospital of Sarasota Earns “A” for Patient Safety
The Leapfrog Group released their latest round of safety grades today and Doctors Hospital of Sarasota earned an “A” for the eighth consecutive time. The Safety Grade assigns A, B, C, D and F letter grades to hospitals based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harmful conditions.
