Michelle (Chelly) Kay Gaeddert + Nicholas (Nick) Steven Klein

Married May 15, 2021

When Nick Klein first caught sight of Chelly Gaeddert, he knew he had to meet her.

He asked his sister’s best friend to set them up, and soon the couple met officially on her front porch. By the time her 30th birthday had rolled around, at a family gathering in Indiana, Nick gifted Chelly a beautiful friendship ring. Just a few hours later, Nick surprised Chelly with a second ring—a magnificent engagement ring.

At the wedding, the groom wore a vintage Cartier watch passed down from his grandfather, to his father, and then to him. The bride wore a Sareh Nouri dress with Lazaro overskirt and Jimmy Choo shoes. Chelly’s garters were crafted by her grandmother and embellished with crystals.

After a memorable wedding, the couple honeymooned at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia. Chelly has left her career as a hairstylist to start their family, while Nick continues his career in wealth management.

Anna C. Koshy + Kendall P. Kellaway, III

Married April 24, 2021

A fraternity brother offered to introduce Kendall and Anna, certain they would be a great match. But the pair kept finding excuses to delay. Nearly 3 years later, the two finally connected and—as predicted—they fell for each other.

Anna works in sales at Amgen and Kendall is a senior manager at RoadOne. He is also a cofounder and board member for destination management company EDRAY and tech-enabled asset light warehousing company Kinimatic.

Because the pair enjoy vacationing on Mexico’s Tulum Beach, Kendall intended to propose to Anna during a fancy dinner at Kin Toh, a restaurant there. But he couldn’t wait, confessing that he “cracked on the first night of check-in.”

How to devise a wedding suitable for their special bond? “We wanted to do something really unique for our wedding and theme,” says Kendall.  They opted for a ceremony in front of Ca’ d’Zan with an officiant dressed as a ringmaster, followed by cocktail hour and an old time jazz band on the rear veranda at sunset.

Guests were then shuttled to the museum courtyard for a whimsical, vintage circus-themed reception. Circus performers—including stilt walkers, a cirque-style mime to mock the crowd, aerial acts, and jugglers—mingled with the crowd and an 11-person band performed underneath the statue of David. Food stations represented countries and continents the couple had visited, and carts offered guests popcorn and cotton candy. There was even “a Perrier Jouet bar carved out of ice, a Zoltar fortune telling machine, and magic mirror-themed photo booth,” says Kendall.

Unfortunately, international friends and family could not travel to the festivities due to COVID, but otherwise the celebration went forward with gusto. “We were pressured several times to postpone the wedding due to COVID,” said Kendall, “but held strong with hopes that everything would pull through, and it did. The team overseeing the property allowed for the capacity we needed on the day of our wedding.”

The couple opted for a mini honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas and are planning several weeks in Bali and the surrounding region for a real honeymoon in the summer of 2022.
